Public Liability

Public Liability for business
It is without question that every business needs public liability insurance. Its not as simple as one size fits all. We at Insure4All will tailor your specific requirements to your policy. Our flexible business insurance policies that include public liability ensure that your individual business wont be disadvantaged financially should a claim be made. What is public liability?
As the name suggests it is an insurance policy that will cover your liability in the event that an error is made which causes an injury to a member of the general public or customer, or which damages their property. We have all seen the advertisements in the media, asking if you have suffered a trip of fall or where there is blame there is a claim. Incidents where customers slip or trip over are among the most common accidents which can result in public liability insurance claims. For example, if a spill isnt marked sufficiently with a warning sign on a shop floor and a customer slips and is injured, they may claim for compensation. Public liability insurance covers this cost for a business.
What level of public liability cover do you need?
The minimum level of cover a business can take is £1 million, however depending on the nature of your business you may need more cover. For companies that work on government contracts there is likely to be a requirement for £5 million or £10 million of public liability.
Beware are you covered for the right risks?
Cheaper quotes may exclude insurable events that are important for your business. Check your excess.
